"We are very excited to host the Splash Trash Tour as one of our main educational focus areas is water. We are currently in the process of updating our Exhibit Hall to incorporate new exhibits and displays, so the timing for hosting the Splash Trash Tour was perfect!"

Lara Milligan, Tour Host Coordinator

March 2 - 11, 2017

The 8,700 acre Brooker Creek Preserve

is the largest natural area

in Pinellas County.

Bordered by dense urban development, the Preserve is a unique refuge for native flora and fauna such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, otter, gopher tortoises, bobcats and coyotes.

The Preserve also provides a unique opportunity to access and enjoy the natural beauty of wild Florida in an urban setting. Hiking and equestrian trails help visitors explore the Preserve’s many ecosystems.

The Pop Up Show will be held at the award-winning Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center.

Nestled amid a wetland forest alongside Brooker Creek, the Center is a beautiful three-building complex designed in old Florida pioneer-style architecture.

Anything we can do to help bring awareness to the plastics litter issue is something we support. We hope to do just that by hosting the Splash Trash Tour, while also encouraging residents and visitors to lessen their contributions of plastics to the environment and take action to help clean up what is already there."
